Meet Meka Carey

 Tameka Carey is a former Branch Manager at Alabama One Credit Union where she worked for 6 years. She has close to 15 years of experience in the finance world and at Alabama One she spear headed an initiative called the 700 Club to help members become successful credit wise. The 700 Club identified those that had been previously declined and teach them the tools to help them get approved.  She has helped mentor young girls in the community under the umbrella of Pretty Brown Girls led by Kerri Ash. Empowering people to take charge of their finances and credit gives her a sense of purpose. Her love of people and genuine concern for their wellbeing helps her succeed in her career. She is also an amateur comedienne that has performed in shows to benefit Cancer Survivors. 

In August 2021 she decided to step away from Alabama One to focus on her multiple businesses. She is the CEO of Love, Sharon LLC, TL Consulting and MekaCarey.

 Love, Sharon is an online store specializing in natural skin and hair care products for the entire family. 

TL Consulting specializing helping individuals and businesses succeed. Her years of experience makes her an expert in areas of customer service to budgeting. Working with delicate information has taught her to be confidential and how to cater to individualistic needs. 

Meka Carey is not only the person but a brand dedicated to encouraging people to be authentic in whatever they do via comedy, speaking engagements, apparel, blogs and journals,  

Tameka has lived in Tuscaloosa her entire life and has 2 kids and a grandson that she truly adores.
